Conducted by JoAnn Falletta, this 1992 album features the works of Lili Boulanger (D'un Soir Triste and D'un Matin de Printemps); Fanny Mendelssohn (Ouverture); Clara Schumann (Piano Concerto in A Minor, Opus 7); and Germaine Tailleferre (Concertino for Harp and Orchestra). It's a lovely recording, ranging from the stately to melancholic to spritely, skillfully blended and presented by this country's premier women's orchestra.
