Songs of May and Spring Celebrations! Gathering May is a joyous garland of music traditionally performed during or inspired by the Spring Season. The repertoire ranges from Morris dances to madrigals, and sings of maypoles, morning dew, nightingales, love lost and regained -- all the trappings of the fairest season. Songs come from as far afield as Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Spain, and Italy, and date from the 12th Century to the 19th. Featuring lovely instrumental & vocal arrangements for Celtic harp, cello, guitar, octave mandolin, voices, oboe, flute, melodeon, recorders, whistles, and drums.
