If there's a more beautiful voice than Freyda Epstein's in all of folkdom, please someone tell me whose it is!! We've been her major fan since her days with Trapezoid, and she shines as brightly on this 1993 collaboration with Ralph Gordon (bass, violin) and Bob Vasile (guitar, cittern, vocals). Freyda is also an exceptional violinist and violist whose playing style blends classical technique with organic folk textures, painting musical pictures of intense mood and color. The musical arrangements here are at once classy and classical, lovely and timeless -- it's a dramatic debut release which we highly recommend!
