When Amy Ray is left to her own devices (sans Indigo Girl parnter, Emily) she completely rocks OUT! The experience of revisting, and perhaps rewriting, a queer youth's high school years begins with the absolutely delightful packaging of this CD showing the artist as every sort of teenage "type" known to secondary education. This CD is a true "album" as well: the songs all speak to the theme and unfold the story. While the music is punk-influenced, those who like the mellower side of Amy should not be put off from listening to this one - call it "one for the ages"!
