Notes / Reviews

The 20th recording from Minneapolis based singer-songwriter Ann Reed, features 12 new songs about hope and renewal. The title song, about seeing the earth as a community, reflects Ann's philosophical view of life in the 'middle years.' We Will features the choir of the First Universalist Church, where she frequently performs. Joined by longtime bassist Joan Griffith and a host of talented musicians, this 2009 release also features Loons on Lake Calhoun, Good Thing I Bounce , a song about being flexible and resilient, Pink Guitar about the joy of playing... and the beautiful A Song For The End Of The Day (who doesn't need that?). Her voice has never sounded as mellow and good, her songwriting has never been better.
