This 1994 album, Claudia's first solo album in 3 years, features an amazingly full and vibrant sound. The inspired vocals are accompanied by her trademark dulcimer and 12-string guitar, augmented by 6-string and innovative percussion with traces of African, Appalachian, and Caribbean influences. All music and lyrics are original, including two lovely instrumentals, and as is common to her music, these are folk songs with a distinctly spiritual bent. Quiet Hills is a hymn of hope and healing, and the uplifting, sing-along chorus of Rising will simply do good things for your heart.
