The sweet-sounding, rhyming slices of life provided on this 1993 release are mostly nostalgic and thoughtful, delivered in Cheryl's straightforward manner and lovely alto. She writes with insight about relationship dead-ends, and with true appreciation of the changing seasons. The tempo is occasionally lightened by selections such as the tongue in cheek Don't Forget the Guns. With vocal support on a few selections by Mary-Chapin Carpenter, Alison Krauss, and Patty Larkin (and Jonathan Edwards, who also produced) how can you go wrong?
