With her distinctive NY accent, dynamite delivery, and dead-on timing, this comic favorite at Dinah Shore and Michigan proves Freud's theory that neurosis leads to comedy. People who walked by my office while I was listening to this 1999 debut CD must have wondered why my shoulders kept shaking up and down. Whether she's making fun of cities, dating, body parts, social mores, camping, meditation tapes or sex, she causes helpless laughter. She mocks LA's anti-smoking laws, 'God forbid the smog should be filled with smoke." Looking back at her childhood, she comments, 'The only time we went to temple was to play Bingo. I thought the Jewish language was B4, O75." Even her liner notes are funny; highly recommended!
