"'Hi - my name is Trace Wiren, and I am from the dazed and the confused era. And in this time of retro rhetoric - when in is out and used-to-be is all now... that fact could render me some kind of prized relic. Yet I stand humbled, in beat and in consciousness, by the restless and the loud. And knowing this - that is, my place - I may tiptoe around a little bit, but hey baby beatsters... I can play the guitar.'
From the song 'Bio' by Trace Wiren
My music is a skillful weave of acoustic folk and electric guitar licks blended with sweetly-written tunes, and edgy lyrics to create a sound that has been described as 'tough, groovy, and original.'
Damn These Plates is musically for me, like being in Peewee Herman's playhouse. On this album I play most of the instruments minus the drums, which for the most part are laid down by Roger my 'rock n roll boyfriend'. But wait - I have also brought in some of my extremely talented friends from such musical experiences as 'My Sister Jane,' 'Blanche,' 'Lovesucker,' 'Gearl Jam,' 'HIllbilly Voodoo,' and 'Chevy Fins in the Garden,' to perform some amazing cameos.
Thanks for listening and I hope you enjoy it.
