Of Aleut/Chugach and Seminole ancestry, Mary is one of the first Native women to record the sacred Native American flute, as this role has been traditionally been held by men. Her haunting music is much more than a song, it is 'liquid poetry, a prayer.' This debut 1998 release features original compositions, vibrantly performed and recorded in the natural acoustic space deep inside the Moaning Caverns of California.
