Native American compilations abound, but thus far we have encountered none so lovely as this 1998 collection... representing some of the most talented Native artists performing today, the track listing actually reads like a 'Best of the Ladyslipper Native American Section'! It contains some of the loveliest selections from 12 albums (we stock 11 of them at this writing -- and we can't wait to get information on the one we don't yet). Ulali, Walela (the Coolidge clan), Joanne Shenandoah, Sharon Burch, Mary Youngblood, Joy Harjo, Alice Gomez, The Mankillers, and Mishi Donovan contribute songs such as Woman's Dance, Wilma Mankiller's Song, For Anna Mae Pictou Aquash and more. Very highly recommended!
