A superbly cast (slightly different) retelling of the very popular lesbian novel by Sarah Waters by the same name -- and yes, "tipping the velvet" is just what you might imagine. Set aside a couple of nights, or more, for viewing this very-surprisingly-British drama (with subtitles in English, we suppose for American viewers) set in Victorian London.
